Last night, So Cal indie band Bad Suns played a sold out show in the Constellation Room at The Observatory in Santa Ana. We gave away some tickets to two lucky listeners on Twitter right before the show.

While the show got a late start, opening act Cillie Barnes certainly made up for the wait. The singer/songwriter took the stage with her band playing material off of her Happy Valley EP.

Playing their first ever, sold out headlining show, Bad Suns came out to a roaring crowd. Fans alike waited hours to see the indie-rockers play songs off of their latest release, Transpose - EP. The band claimed that it was their second time playing the Constellation Room, citing their first gig in Santa Ana as having an attendance of about seven. The four musicians got the room dancing and swooning throughout the night, having a crowd of devoted fans sing back lyrics to their songs, including their popular single Cardiac Arrest.

RAC played at The Observatory last night with guests Joywave and Ghost Beach. With a packed house and new material, the Remix Artist Collective put on a great show and certainly got the O.C. pumped for the weekend.

Opening act Joywave started things off with music from their new How Do You Feel EP. Vocalist Dan Armbruster even joined RAC later in the show to perform a remix of their hit song “Tongues (feat. Kopps).”

Playing their last show with RAC before their next run of shows, Ghost Beach got the crowd going with music from their latest album, Blonde. They will be supporting Blondfire and The Sounds for the last few shows of their North American tour. Check out our coverage of The Sounds’ stop in Santa Ana here.

Finally, after much anticipation, RAC took the stage. Upon the release of their new record, Strangers Pt. 2, the Remix Artist Collective weaved in some new originals to their set. Bumping tunes all night, RAC performed their renditions of fan favorites ranging from Lana Del Rey remixes to Foster the People. The Portland natives are set to play a sold out show at the El Rey Theater in L.A. next week; make sure you check out the full length debut album, Strangers.

Rome from Sublime With Rome stopped by KX 93.5 last Friday to play a couple of songs and chat with Mookie about his different projects as well as his upcoming solo album.

Drove up to L..A. for the X Ambassadors show last night (with guests Max and the Moon and Dear Boy). Filming their WFNM interview and shooting their show at the Bootleg proved to be more challenging than I thought - there was no photo pit and the lighting was underwhelming to say the least. On the bright side, I got to be more involved with the crowd, getting their perspective; plus, my photos all carry a more ominous vibe thanks to the lighting (or lack of I suppose).
